Coffee & Art Walking Tour in Fukagawa / Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Area
Take a walk in the streets where mix of Edo period atmosphere and modern art. There are Fukagawa Edo Museum (Fukagawa Shiryokan), Museum of Contemporary Art, cafes, shops, gardens, etc. It is no doubt that you will enjoy this neighborhood. The tour guide will help take pictures throughout the journey, leaving unforgettable memories.
Why are there so many cafes in Kiyosumi-Shirakawa? In the past, there were many rivers, and Kiyosumi-Shirakawa was a hub for water transportation. Many warehouses with high ceilings were built in this area. In recent years, coffee roasters have utilized these warehouses and rivers, so many cafes have been established here. When roasting coffee beans, the exhaust pipe can be turned to the river side, which is a great advantage that it can avoid disturbing neighboring residents.
In this tour. the guide will pick up a few recommended cafes for you. Besides cafes, you can also find delicious street foods like "croquette " and "oden" that can be enjoyed while taking a walk!
